Job summary

UMH Properties, Inc. is seeking a full-time Maintenance team member to oversee groundskeeping, repairs, and general upkeep across our Port Royal and other communities. The role requires a valid driver's license, experience in home repairs, plumbing, and operating heavy equipment, plus safety training and the ability to work both independently and with a team.

Expect occasional snow plowing and overtime. We offer competitive wages, a 401(k) plan with company match, generous PTO, and benefits

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license and safe driving record.
• Broad experience in home repairs, plumbing, grounds maintenance, and heavy equipment operation.
• Snow plow experience highly preferred.
• Ability to prioritize safety and complete periodic trainings.
• Time management and teamwork/independence.
• Willingness to assist with new home installations as needed.

Responsibilities

• Drive UMH vehicles to inspect common areas.
• Record violations observed during inspections.
• Repair and maintain community-owned homes and lots.
• Maintain grounds: mowing, weed eating, snow removal, debris cleanup.
• Keep areas clear of obstructions and ensure equipment is serviced.
• Take daily readings at water plant where required and log work.
