Job summary

UMH Properties, Inc. is seeking a part-time Maintenance staff to perform community groundskeeping, repairs, and light installations across our manufactured home communities. You will drive UMH vehicles to inspect areas, perform routine maintenance, and ensure safety and cleanliness in outdoor spaces and homes.

The role emphasizes safety, teamwork, and the ability to operate power tools and basic heavy equipment. Seasonal schedules apply, and in-person attendance is required.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license required.
• Safe driving record required.
• Experience in home repairs, plumbing and grounds maintenance desired.
• Snow plow experience a plus.
• Ability to operate heavy equipment and power tools.
• Must prioritize safety and work well with others.

Responsibilities

• Drive UMH vehicles to inspect common areas and record issues.
• Repair and maintain community-owned homes and lots.
• Maintain grounds: mowing, weed eating, snow removal, debris cleanup.
• Keep areas clear of obstructions and ensure equipment is serviced.
• Take daily water plant readings where required and log work.
• Attend safety trainings and follow Hazard Communication Program.
