Job summary

Penske Truck Leasing Co., L.P. is seeking a Customer Service Coordinator to schedule preventative maintenance, coordinate outside repairs, and manage the shop work plan.

This role emphasizes strong customer communication, parts coordination, and vendor accountability to ensure timely service and high customer satisfaction. The position requires hands-on mechanical experience, customer service skills, and the ability to oversee administrative tasks within a service department.

Qualifications

• 2 years of customer service experience required.
• At least 1 year of hands on mechanical experience required.
• 2 years of supervisory experience preferred.
• At least 2 years of service department administration preferred.
• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Associates Degree, Technical School Degree, or Bachelors Degree preferred.
• ASE certification preferred.
• Prior experience with service scheduling programs and diagnostic programs preferred.
• Must understand and comply with Penske policies and safety guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Develop daily and weekly workforce plans to maximize customer service and productivity.
• Communicate with customers for maintenance updates and billing concerns.
• Ensure Penske Rental units are maintained and prepared for customers.
• Ensure parts are available for scheduled work.
• Hold outside vendors accountable for quality and schedule adherence.
• Provide excellent customer service to encourage repeat business.
• Maintain shop productivity by optimizing the work plan.
• Coordinate with district billing clerks as needed.
• Perform other projects and tasks as assigned by supervisor.
