Job summary

Grand-Victorian-of-Greenwood is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor to oversee the community safety program and lead the maintenance team in providing exceptional services. You will manage HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and building systems, hire/train staff, and respond swiftly to maintenance requests while upholding a warm, compassionate environment for residents.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Experience with HVAC systems and/or electrical systems desired.
  • Prior senior living experience preferred.
  • Demonstrates exceptional interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
  • Must possess leadership and supervisory ability and the readiness to mentor, motivate, and inspire.

Responsibilities

  • Oversees community safety program and maintains a secure resident home and working environment.
  • Maintains preventative maintenance program to keep HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and other systems functioning.
  • Hires, trains, schedules, and leads the maintenance team.
  • Performs minor repairs, replacements, or installations of equipment and controls.
  • Maintains water heaters, furnaces, air conditioners, kitchen equipment, and plumbing systems.
  • Completes maintenance requests, both scheduled and emergency, quickly and efficiently.
  • Maintains inventory on chemical supplies and ensures proper storage/use procedures.
  • Implements safety protocols and OSHA compliance.
  • Performs exterior maintenance as needed.
  • Delivers fire and disaster education and drills with residents and staff.
  • Engages with residents in a compassionate, dignified manner reflecting core values.
