Job summary

Gardant-Management-Solution in Swansea, IL seeks a Maintenance Assistant to support the Maintenance Director in keeping residents safe and the home secure. You will uphold policy and regulations while fostering a caring environment.

You will run a preventative maintenance program for HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and other systems, handle all maintenance requests (scheduled and emergency), perform minor repairs, exterior tasks, and assist with drills and safety activities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience in HVAC or electrical systems required.
• Prior senior living experience desired.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee community safety program and maintain a secure resident environment.
• Perform preventative maintenance on HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and related systems.
• Complete maintenance requests promptly, including emergencies.
• Repair or install minor equipment and controls as directed.
• Perform exterior maintenance and assist with drills and safety activities.

Responsibilities:Under the direct supervision of the Maintenance Director, our Maintenance Assistant oversees the Community safety program and maintains a secure resident home and working environment in compliance with policy and regulationsSustains a preventative maintenance program to maintain proper functioning of all Community equipment, plumbing, electrical, and HVAC systemsCompletes all maintenance requests, both scheduled and emergency, quickly and efficientlyMechanically repair, replace, and/or install minor equipment, hardware, and controls.
