Job summary

Reflections Retirement Community in Indianapolis is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor to lead our on-site team in proactive facility upkeep and safety compliance. You will manage HVAC/electrical systems, coordinate repairs, and mentor staff to deliver reliable resident services.

The ideal candidate has HVAC or electrical experience, a valid driver’s license, and prior senior living exposure, with strong communication and leadership skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Experience in HVAC and/or electrical systems.
• Prior senior living experience desired.

Responsibilities

• Oversee community safety program and maintain secure resident home and environment in line with policies.
• Maintain preventative maintenance programs for HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and other systems.
• Hire, train, schedule and lead maintenance team to provide quality services.
• Repair, replace, and install minor equipment, hardware and controls as needed.
• Maintain water heaters, furnaces, air conditioners and kitchen equipment.
• Manage community plumbing systems and preventative upkeep.
• Complete both scheduled and emergency maintenance requests promptly.
• Ensure safety protocols and OSHA compliance including proper chemical storage.

Salary Range: $60,000.00 - $62,000.00 Salary/year

Responsibilities

• Oversees Community safety program and maintains a secure resident home and working environment in compliance with policy and regulations
• Sustains a preventative maintenance program to maintain proper functioning of all Community equipment, plumbing, electrical, and HVAC systems
• Hires, trains, schedules, and leads the maintenance team in providing exceptional services
• Mechanically repair, replace, and/or install minor equipment, hardware, and controls
• Maintain water heaters, furnaces, air conditioners, kitchen equipment and associated equipment
• Maintain community plumbing systems
• Completes all maintenance requests, both scheduled and emergency, quickly and efficiently
• Conducts inventory on chemical supplies and complies with proper storage and usage procedures
• Implements safety protocols and procedures to avert incidents and ensure compliance with OSHA requirements
• Performs exterior maintenance duties as necessary
• Delivers fire and disaster education and performs preparation and drill activities with residents and team members
• Engages with residents in a compassionate and impactful manner, cultivating a warm and supportive environment where the values of love, compassion, and dignity are reflected in every interaction

Qualifications

• Prior senior living experience desired
• Demonstrates exceptional interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
• Must possess leadership and supervisory ability and the readiness to mentor, motivate, and inspire
