Job summary

Oak Hill Supportive Living in Round Lake Beach is seeking a Maintenance Assistant to oversee the community safety program and help maintain a secure home for residents. Under the supervision of the Maintenance Director, you will handle routine upkeep and respond to repair requests to support a safe, comfortable living environment.

The role requires experience with HVAC or electrical systems and strong communication skills. Prior senior living experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience in HVAC systems and/or electrical.
• Senior living experience preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversees the Community safety program and maintains a secure resident home and working environment.
• Maintains preventative maintenance program for HVAC, plumbing, electrical and other systems.
• Completes maintenance requests, both scheduled and emergency, quickly and efficiently.
• Performs exterior maintenance duties.
• Drills fire and disaster procedures with residents and staff.
• Engages with residents with compassion and dignity.
