Reflections Retirement Community in Rockford, IL is seeking a Full-Time Maintenance Supervisor to lead our maintenance team and ensure a safe, well-functioning environment for residents. The role emphasizes preventive maintenance of HVAC/electrical systems, safety compliance, and positive resident engagement.

Ideal candidates will have a high school diploma or GED, a valid driver’s license, and strong leadership and communication skills.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Oversees safety program and maintains a secure resident home and environment.

• Performs maintenance tasks alongside the team ~20% of time.
• Completes all maintenance requests, scheduled and emergency.
• Manages inventory of chemical supplies and storage procedures.
• Implements OSHA-compliant safety protocols.
• Performs exterior maintenance as needed.
• Engages with residents in a compassionate, respectful manner.

Position Type: Full Time

Salary Range: $28.00 - $30.00 Hourly

Job Shift: 1st shift

Responsibilities

• Oversees Community safety program and maintains a secure resident home and working environment in compliance with policy and regulations
• Sustains a preventative maintenance program to maintain proper functioning of all Community equipment, plumbing, electrical, and HVAC systems
• Hires, trains, schedules, and leads the maintenance team in providing exceptional services
• Approximately 20% of hours will be spent performing maintenance responsibilities alongside the team
• Completes all maintenance requests, both scheduled and emergency, quickly and efficiently
• Conducts inventory on chemical supplies and complies with proper storage and usage procedures
• Implements safety protocols and procedures to avert incidents and ensure compliance with OSHA requirements
• Performs exterior maintenance duties as necessary
• Delivers fire and disaster education and performs preparation and drill activities with residents and team members
• Engages with residents in a compassionate and impactful manner, cultivating a warm and supportive environment where the values of love, compassion, and dignity are reflected in every interaction

Qualifications

• High school graduate or GED equivalent required
• Valid driver’s license
• Experience in HVAC systems and/or electrical required
• Prior senior living experience desired
• Demonstrates exceptional interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
• Must possess leadership and supervisory ability and the readiness to mentor, motivate, and inspire
