Job summary

Alvarez & Marsal (A&M) is seeking a Manager to join CTG, focusing on financial due diligence within the M&A lifecycle. You will lead engagements for buy‑side and sell‑side transactions across industries, mentor junior staff, and collaborate with Directors and Managing Directors to manage risk and deliver high‑quality analyses.

The role requires 5+ years in financial accounting due diligence, CPA preferred, strong Excel/PowerPoint skills, and willingness to travel.

Qualifications

• A minimum of 5 years of financial accounting due diligence experience or equivalent at a top accounting firm.
• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in accounting and/or related major.
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or the equivalent of a CPA.
• Working knowledge of US GAAP, SEC reporting and purchase accounting.
• High proficiency in Excel, Word, PowerPoint and database skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal).
• Strong project management skills.
• Flexibility to work as both a team member in a collaborative setting and as an individual contributor.
• Ability to travel for project needs and A&M opportunities.
• Ability to thrive in fast-paced settings.

Responsibilities

• Counsel and mentor CTG associates and senior associates.
• Engage in training initiatives to develop CTG employees.
• Manage engagement risk and client issues with Directors and Managing Directors.
• Develop creative solutions to engagement and transaction risks.
• Lead financial due diligence work, including quality of earnings and working capital analyses.
• Coordinate with other A&M service groups during engagements.
• Generate and integrate final due diligence reports for clients.
