Job summary

Alvarez & Marsal (A&M) is seeking a financial due diligence professional to support core diligence work, assess earnings quality, and produce deal-oriented reports for clients. You will analyze comprehensive financial data and present key findings to target management and client teams.

Qualifications

• Three years of financial accounting due diligence experience at a top accounting firm.
• CPA or equivalent credential.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in accounting or related field.
• Working knowledge of US GAAP, SEC reporting, and purchase accounting.
• High proficiency in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and database skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills.
• Flexibility to travel for projects.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist with core financial due diligence: identify risks and deal breakers, assess business against benchmarks, evaluate transactions.
• Analyze detailed financial statements and synthesize data to drive discussions with target management.
• Assess quality of reported earnings, net assets, and cash flows.
• Construct deal-oriented reports for clients and highlight key findings for valuations and negotiations.
• Participate in meetings with target management and client personnel; act as a secondary contact for execution.
• Build and maintain client relationships and support business development.
• Mentor CTG associates and analysts; oversee training initiatives to develop team capabilities.
• Research technical accounting subjects relevant to CTG to enhance client services.
• Coordinate with all A&M service groups during engagements.
• Delegate and review work of associates and analysts.
