Job summary

Chateau Elan Winery & Resort in Georgia seeks an experienced Activities & Events Manager to lead resort programming, develop engaging guest experiences, and drive guest satisfaction and revenue.

The role oversees daily recreational activities, seasonal events, and family experiences, collaborating with Sales, F&B, and hotel operations to ensure brand alignment and financial performance.

Qualifications

• Resort experience in a similar role is required.
• Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Recreation Management, Event Management, Business Administration, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience may be considered.
• Three to five years of progressive experience in resort recreation, activities management, event planning, hospitality operations, or a related field.
• Prior supervisory or management experience required.
• Experience managing departmental budgets, labor costs, vendor relationships, and event logistics.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage the calendar of daily, weekly, seasonal, and holiday activities.
• Create distinctive, engaging experiences that differentiate the resort.
• Oversee programming for families, children, adults, couples, and groups.
• Ensure activities are staffed, scheduled, and aligned with service standards.
• Engage with guests to encourage participation and gather feedback.
• Monitor guest satisfaction and activity participation for continuous improvement.
• Plan, coordinate, and execute resort events and themed experiences.
• Coordinate event logistics with multiple departments and vendors.
• Evaluate event performance and financial results.
• Communicate event plans to all departments and ensure quality execution.
• Develop and manage the department's annual operating budget.
• Monitor expenses and revenue against budget.
• Identify opportunities to generate ancillary revenue from programming.
• Negotiate with entertainment providers and external partners.
• Maintain inventory controls and purchasing practices.
