Job summary

InterContinental Indianapolis, part of IHG Hotels & Resorts, seeks a Front Desk Agent to ensure seamless check-ins, provide local insights, and anticipate guest needs for a memorable stay.

You will handle guest interactions, process transactions, and assist with reservations while maintaining brand standards and a warm, welcoming atmosphere. Prior front desk or guest service experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Clear communication with guests and colleagues.
• Ability to resolve issues and provide memorable guest experiences.
• Fluency in the local language; additional languages are a plus.
• Proficiency with basic math, reading, writing, and computer use.

Responsibilities

• Accurately process cash and credit transactions and manage reports.
• Issue and control guest safes and issue room keys.
• Upsell rooms to maximize hotel revenue.
• Welcome guests, handle requests, and provide local information and recommendations.
• Assist with reservations and changes via phone or in-house systems.
