Job summary

InterContinental Hotels Group is seeking a Front Desk Agent to warmly welcome guests, process reservations, and manage check-ins/outs. You will acknowledge rewards club members, upsell stay enhancements, and handle cash transactions while delivering local insights for a friction-free experience.

Ideal candidates have strong communication and problem-solving skills, with a high school diploma or higher. Some familiarity with POS systems and basic computer use is preferred.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication and guest-service orientation.
• Strong problem-solving and conflict-resolution skills.
• Able to work flexible shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Basic mathematics, reading, and computer literacy.
• Bilingual abilities are a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly and kick off a memorable stay.
• Acknowledge IHG Rewards Club members and returning guests.
• Process bookings and upsell opportunities; inform guests of stay improvements.
• Handle cash and credit transactions.
• Check guests in/out, verify IDs, issue keys, and manage safety deposit boxes.
• Record guest preferences and address requests and concerns.
