Job summary

Blue Origin is seeking spacecraft development engineers to create and maintain advanced simulation tools and models. You will work on a multi-vehicle simulation framework using MATLAB, Simulink, and NASA’s TRICK to ensure correctness and performance of flight software.

You will collaborate with GN&C and other subsystem engineers to validate models, support SIL/HIL testing, and contribute to software verification efforts across disciplines.

Qualifications

• Minimum BS degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, Electrical, Physics, Applied Math, or CS.
• 2+ years in software development with C/C++, MATLAB and Simulink.
• Familiarity with converting Simulink to C++ and with CI pipelines (GitLab).
• Experience with configuration management and rigorous verification practices.

Responsibilities

• Develop tools to design, build, deploy and support simulation infrastructure.
• Create and integrate multidisciplinary models for multi-vehicle simulations (MATLAB/Simulink, TRICK).
• Collaborate with GN&C and subsystems engineers to support high- and low-fidelity plant models.
• Contribute to simulations for verification of functionalities across disciplines.
