Job summary

Estes-Express-Lines is seeking a Dock Operations Supervisor to lead dock staff and oversee a safe, efficient LTL operation. You will plan schedules, monitor performance, and coach employees to meet KPIs while ensuring compliance with company policies and safety rules.

You will coordinate with supervisors on trailer/tractor assignments, communicate with customers, and manage dock paperwork. The role requires commitment to 50 hours/week and the ability to work nights and weekends when needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor degree preferred.
• Thorough understanding of the LTL trucking industry and paperwork flow preferred.
• Prior management, dispatch and dock experience required in LTL trucking.
• Must be able to lead, coach, and terminate employees as needed.
• Strong communication, planning, and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead dock employees; set targets and monitor performance.
• Ensure efficient, safe LTL operation; manage dock planning and schedules.
• Enforce company policies; safety rules and gov't regulations.
• Participate in hiring/termination decisions; execute service center plans.
• Meet KPIs; utilize company tools; review and revise schedules for efficiency.
• Coordinate equipment movement with supervisors; communicate with customers.
• Oversee dock paperwork; ensure timely, accurate processing.
