Job summary

Estes Express Lines in Little Rock, AR is seeking an Operations Manager/Supervisor to lead dock teams, set targets, monitor performance, and coach staff to meet safety and efficiency goals.

You will manage scheduling, equipment movement, and communication with customers, ensure paperwork accuracy, and uphold company policies while maintaining a high standard of on-time performance. This role requires 50-hour weeks on average and flexibility for various shifts.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED or equivalent; Bachelor degree preferred.
• Thorough understanding of the LTL trucking industry; basic paperwork flow preferred.
• Prior management, dispatch and dock experience required, preferably in LTL trucking.
• Knowledge of local metropolitan area.
• Strong leadership skills including hiring, coaching, counseling, training, mentoring and termination.

Responsibilities

• Lead dock employees and set targets; monitor performance and provide coaching.
• Enforce company policies, safety rules and regulations; ensure compliance.
• Oversee hiring/termination processes and administer parts of the Service Center Business plan.
• Meet KPI targets and utilize enhancement tools to improve operations.
• Coordinate equipment movement (trailers/tractors) with supervision; schedule dock activities.
• Communicate with customers via phone, fax or email; ensure timely paperwork handling.
• Maintain attendance and perform other duties as assigned.
