Estes Express Lines is seeking a seasoned Dock Supervisor to oversee day-to-day operations and guide dock staff. You will set targets, monitor performance, coach and develop team members, and ensure efficient LTL shipping, safety, and policy compliance.

You will manage scheduling, equipment movement, and communication with customers, and uphold KPI targets while maintaining a focus on cost reduction and service quality in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifikationen

• High School Diploma or GED (Bachelor preferred).
• Thorough understanding of the LTL trucking industry; basic paperwork flow preferred.
• Prior management, dispatch and dock experience required, preferably in LTL trucking.
• Knowledgable of local metropolitan area.
• Strong leadership including hiring, coaching, counseling, training, mentoring and termination.
• Team building and interpersonal skills; excellent verbal and written communication.
• Excellent planning and organization; strong problem solving.
• Proficient computer skills (AS/400 & MS Office a plus).
• Willing to work 50 hours/week, any shift, weather conditions; able to lift 20 lbs+.
• Must pass background checks and be authorized to work in the United States.

Aufgaben

• Report to Operations Manager / Assistant Service Center Manager and/or Service Center Manager.
• Lead, guide and direct dock employees; set targets, monitor performance, coaching and development.
• Ensure efficient, clean and safe LTL operation including dock planning and schedules.
• Enforce company policies, safety rules and government regulations.
• Involved in hiring and termination processes.
• Administer portions of Service Center Business plan and meet KPI targets.
• Daily use of enhancement tools and processes; review and revise schedules for efficiency and cost.
• Oversee equipment movement (trailers and tractors) with other supervisors/management.
• Communicate with customers via phone, fax or email; ensure paperwork is completed timely.
• Attend daily to ensure all dock paperwork is handled correctly.
