Job summary

Genworth, including CareScout, is on a mission to simplify and dignify the aging experience, and this Long Term Care Actuary, Controllership Oversight role supports governance of LTC models and controls from Richmond, VA with Remote US availability in Eastern/Central Time zones.

You will partner with valuation, projections, experience, and data analytics teams to ensure compliant, well-documented processes.

Qualifications

• BS/BA degree in mathematics, statistics, actuarial science, business/finance, or related major.
• Fellow of Society of Actuaries (FSA) designation or ASA with commensurate experience.
• 5+ years of actuarial experience, preferably LTC insurance.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to meet project deadlines and manage multiple priorities.
• Strong communication skills, both oral and written.
• Ability to interact professionally in a team environment.
• Knowledge of valuation, projections, and experience in actuarial processes.
• Results oriented and accountable for ownership of projects.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the LTC control environment with open communication and consistent control design across teams.
• Consult on controls for new or enhanced processes.
• Review existing controls for high-risk processes and recommend improvements.
• Collaborate with Operations and IT on system and data issues and controls.
• Develop clear model and process documentation to increase transparency and accessibility.
• Provide governance peer review support for LTC actuarial models and processes.
• Expand governance oversight to include emerging teams and products.
• Assist with model change peer reviews and provide guidance on governance processes.
