Job summary

Genworth is seeking a Long Term Care Actuary, Controllership Oversight, to join the Model Governance and Controllership team. You will oversee LTC models and controls, working with valuation, projections, and data teams to ensure compliance with standards.

The role emphasizes collaboration with control owners and cross-functional groups, with remote options within Eastern/Central Time zones and preferred residence in VA, MO, or nearby states.

Qualifications

• BS/BA in mathematics, statistics, actuarial science, business/finance, or related major.
• Fellow of the Society of Actuaries (FSA) or Associate (ASA) designation with commensurate experience.
• 5+ years of relevant actuarial experience, preferably with LTC insurance.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to meet project deadlines and manage multiple priorities.
• Strong communication skills, both oral and written.
• Ability to interact professionally and effectively in a team environment.
• Knowledge of actuarial processes: valuation, projections, and experience.
• Results oriented, accountable for performance, and willingness to take ownership of projects.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the LTC control environment with open communication and consistent design/execution.
• Consult on controls for new or enhanced processes.
• Review existing controls for high-risk processes and suggest improvements.
• Collaborate with Operations and IT on system and data issues and controls.
• Develop clear model/documentation to increase transparency and accessibility.
• Provide governance peer review support for LTC actuarial models and processes.
• Expand governance oversight to include emerging teams and products.
• Assist with model change peer reviews and governance guidance.
