Job summary

Genworth seeks a Long Term Care Actuary, Controllership Oversight, to govern LTC models and processes. You will lead control design, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and ensure compliance with actuarial standards.

Primary focus on valuation, projections, and experience, with potential expansion to other analytics areas. Remote-US (Eastern/Central) with in-office options in Richmond, VA.

Qualifications

• BS/BA degree in mathematics, statistics, actuarial science, business/finance, or related major.
• FSA designation or ASA with commensurate experience.
• 5+ years actuarial experience, preferably LTC.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to meet project deadlines and manage multiple priorities.
• Strong communication skills, both oral and written.
• Ability to interact professionally in a team environment.
• Knowledge of valuation, projections, and experience processes.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the LTC control environment across teams.
• Consult on controls for new or enhanced processes.
• Review existing controls for high-risk processes and recommend improvements.
• Collaborate with Operations and IT on data issues and controls.
• Develop clear model and process documentation to increase transparency.
• Provide governance peer review support for LTC models and processes.
• Expand governance oversight to include emerging teams and products.
• Assist with model change peer reviews and governance guidance.
