Job summary

Genworth is seeking a Long Term Care Actuary to support controllership oversight of LTC models, data, and processes. The role focuses on governance, controls and ensuring compliance with actuarial standards, working with valuation, projections and experience analyses across teams.

The ideal candidate has a strong actuarial background, 5+ years of LTC experience, and excellent communication. Remote US options available with potential in-office Richmond, VA consideration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor-level degree in math, stats, actuarial science, business or finance.
• SOA credential (FSA/ASA) or equivalent experience required.
• 5+ years of relevant actuarial experience, preferably LTC.
• Strong communication and team-work capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Oversee LTC control environment and ensure consistency across teams.
• Advise on controls for new or enhanced processes.
• Review high-risk processes and propose improvements.
• Collaborate with Operations and IT on data issues and controls.
• Support model governance documentation for transparency and accessibility.
• Provide governance peer review support for LTC actuarial models and processes.
• Expand governance to include new teams and products.
• Assist with model change peer reviews and governance guidance.
