Job summary

Amedisys, part of the Optum family, is looking for a Patient Services Coordinator - Clinical to schedule home visits for field staff and coordinate patient care. You will report to the Clinical Manager and help maximize care center capacity and productivity.

You will maintain clinician schedules, balance geography and skills, and ensure timely communication with patients, clinicians, and referral sources. A valid driver's license and healthcare scheduling experience are required.

Qualifications

• Active RN or LPN/LVN license in the assigned state.
• Minimum 1 year of administrative experience in a healthcare setting.
• Minimum 1 year of scheduling experience in a healthcare setting.
• Willingness to travel as required by the business.
• Must possess a valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Schedule patient assessment visits including Oasis visits in a timely manner.
• Prepare weekly clinician schedules.
• Review clinician schedules daily to optimize capacity and productivity.
• Assign clinicians efficiently by geography and skill, maximizing capacity.
• Ensure missed visits are scheduled or referred to Clinical Manager.
• Coordinate with field clinicians to ensure visits occur as ordered and within the care center.
• Handle calls from patients and field staff about scheduling issues.
