Job summary

Axsome Therapeutics is seeking a field-based Long-Term Care (LTC) Specialty Account Manager to drive LTC commercial activities across the assigned geography and execute strategies for a successful launch.

The SAM will act as a disease-state expert and account specialist, building relationships with LTC care teams and navigating payer policies to ensure timely patient access and product uptake.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
• 5+ years pharmaceutical/biotech sales experience, incl. 2+ years in LTC or account-based selling.
• Top 10% or Elite/President’s Club performance demonstrated.
• Launch experience strongly preferred.
• Must live within the geography of the assigned territory.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks concurrently under accelerated timelines.

Responsibilities

• Drive product adoption in LTC facilities.
• Proficient in both virtual and live customer engagements.
• Call on LTC care teams and build relationships across the LTC ecosystem.
• Develop territory business plans and account plans for LTC facilities.
• Promote labeling ethically and within regulatory guidelines.
• Develop customer relationships by understanding needs.
• Serve as resource on payer policies and processes.
• Navigate market access and reimbursement, incl. patient access programs.
• Maximize marketing resources to grow prescribing confidence.
• Communicate territory activity and provide management feedback.
• Complete training and administrative duties in a timely fashion.
• Manage efforts within promotional budget; collaborate across functions.
• Attend medical congresses and society meetings as needed.
• Ensure timely patient access through services and savings programs.
• Overnight travel as indicated.
