Job summary

Axsome Therapeutics, Inc. is seeking a field-based Long-Term Care (LTC) Specialty Account Manager to drive LTC commercial activities across an assigned geography.

The SAM will be a disease-state expert and account specialist, delivering product adoption, payer navigation, and strong relationships with LTC care teams. Qualified candidates have 5+ years in pharma/biotech sales (2+ in LTC), launch experience, and the ability to manage multiple tasks while living within the territory.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of pharmaceutical/biotech sales experience, including 2+ years in LTC or account-based selling.
• Launch experience strongly preferred and ability to manage multiple tasks under tight timelines.
• Must live within the geography of the assigned territory and collaborate with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Drive LTC product adoption in facilities and engage both virtual and live customers.
• Build relationships with psychiatrists, neurologists, nurses, and LTC staff to support access and reimbursement.
• Develop territory business plans with targeted accounts and achieve quarterly and annual goals.
• Navigate payer policies, eligibility, prior-authorization, and patient assistance programs.
• Provide feedback to leadership and collaborate across marketing, sales, and medical affairs.
