Job summary

Penske Logistics is seeking a proven leader to supervise drivers at one location, providing direction and coaching to ensure customer requirements and company goals are met. You will manage daily tasks, scheduling, and safety compliance while coordinating with cross-functional teams.

The Operations Supervisor leads hourly staff, drives process improvements, and handles on-site meetings, documentation, and reporting to support Penske's service objectives.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated leadership qualities with strong interpersonal skills and have the ability to connect, build rapport and maintain solid relationships with associates, Company leadership, internal and external customers.
• Must have ability to work efficiently and independently with strong time management and organizational skills.
• Strong written/oral communication skills and the ability to actively listen are required.
• Ability to manage through a problem, think critically, and make decisions independently.
• Ability to drive process improvement and lead change.
• Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint required.
• Must demonstrate ownership & responsibility to run the operation with a sense of urgency.
• Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of the job.
• Willingness to travel as necessary, work the required schedule, work at the specific location required, complete Penske employment application, submit to a background investigation and drug screening required.

Responsibilities

• Supervise drivers and hourly staff to meet customer requirements and company goals.
• Lead logistics operations including customer service, dispatch, and proper documentation.
• Conduct team meetings and provide coaching and development for associates.
• Evaluate and modify work methods to increase dispatch productivity and accuracy.
• Provide relief coverage for operational duties when staff are unavailable.
• Ensure site systems are understood and used properly for compliance and reporting.
• Complete all records and reports accurately and on time.
