Job summary

Penske Logistics is seeking an operations leader to guide hourly associates and oversee daily logistics tasks, including driver deliveries, loading/unloading, and cross-docking. You will manage schedules and ensure service consistency while balancing costs and efficiencies.

The role requires 2–4 years of related experience, strong communication and organizational skills, and proficiency with MS Office. Travel may be required, and attendance is essential for operational success.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years related functional experience.
• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Bachelors Degree preferred.
• Strong written and oral communication and organizational skills.
• Advanced computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint.
• Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of the job.
• Willingness to travel as necessary and pass background checks.

Responsibilities

• Lead hourly associates and supervise logistics operations, including freight loading/unloading and dispatch.
• Review truck runs, accounts, and private fleet utilization to optimize costs.
• Ensure compliance with financial policies, inventory accuracy, and productivity targets.
• Provide guidance and training, and manage safety and performance expectations.
• Support continuous improvement and customer experience goals.
