Job summary

Penske Logistics LLC is seeking an Operations Supervisor to lead a team of drivers and hourly staff at a single location. You will direct daily tasks, scheduling, and customer-facing activities to meet service and cost objectives.

The role includes performance management, hiring involvement, and potential discretionary bonuses based on location performance. Typical shift is Mon-Fri from 2:00 PM; some Saturday mornings may be required.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated leadership qualities with strong interpersonal skills.
• Must have ability to work efficiently and independently with strong time management.
• Strong written and oral communication skills are required.
• Ability to manage through a problem, think critically, and make decisions independently.
• Ability to drive process improvement and lead change.
• Proficient computer skills including Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint.
• Must demonstrate ownership and responsibility to run the operation with urgency.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise drivers and hourly staff to meet customer objectives.
• Oversee dispatch, loading/unloading, and documentation accuracy.
• Monitor attendance, productivity, and performance standards; provide coaching.
• Manage shifts, scheduling, and adherence to safety and cost objectives.
• Drive continuous improvement and liaison with site leadership and customers.
• Ensure compliance with financial policies and minimize overtime.
