Job summary

Penske Logistics LLC is seeking a capable Operations Supervisor to lead hourly staff at a single location, ensuring customer requirements are met while aligning with Penske goals. The role covers driver deliveries, loading/unloading, and customer service execution.

Schedule: Monday-Friday 12 PM-9 PM. Candidates should have transportation management experience, strong communication, and proven leadership capabilities to drive continuous improvement and safe operations.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated leadership qualities with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to connect, build rapport and maintain solid relationships with associates and customers.
• Ability to work efficiently and independently with strong time management and organizational skills.
• Strong written and oral communication skills and the ability to listen actively.
• Ability to think critically, solve problems, and make independent decisions.
• Ability to drive process improvement and lead change.
• Proficient computer skills including Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint.
• Willingness to travel, work the required schedule, and pass background and drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Supervise logistics operations including customer service, freight loading/unloading, dispatch and documentation control.
• Conduct team meetings and provide coaching to improve productivity.
• Evaluate and implement changes to improve dispatch methods and assist in training.
• Provide relief coverage for operational duties when needed.
• Maintain knowledge of site operating systems to ensure compliance and resolve exceptions.
• Complete records and reports in a timely and accurate fashion.
