Job summary

Penske Logistics is seeking a proven leader to supervise 20 CDL drivers at a Clyde, OH location, providing operational leadership for daily tasks, scheduling, and customer service while meeting cost objectives.

The Operations Supervisor will oversee dispatch, loading/unloading, and documentation, manage performance, conduct coaching, and participate in hiring. Strong communication and problem-solving are essential.

Qualifications

• Must have strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
• Strong written/oral communication skills required.
• Ability to manage through a problem and make decisions independently.
• Ability to drive process improvement and lead change.
• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Bachelor’s Degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise hourly drivers and staff to meet customer objectives
• Lead daily operations including dispatch, loading/unloading, and customer service
• Conduct team meetings and coach for performance
• Ensure site operating systems are used correctly and compliant
• Complete records and reports accurately and timely
• Monitor attendance and productivity; coach as needed
• Ensure safety compliance and training
• Plan work assignments to optimize fleet use
