Job summary

The Operations Manager role focuses on coordinating transportation services for a group of clients, managing independent contractors, and ensuring on-time delivery with a focus on cost control and service excellence.

Candidate will build relationships with clients, supervise route planning, and monitor performance.

Qualifications

• College Degree with some experience or a High School Diploma with equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Six Sigma Green Belt Certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Meet with client regularly to build relationship and document visits.
• Review OTD, Piece Scan and Location Scan.
• Create, review, and resolve service issues using Delivery Incident Reports (DIRs).
• Complete customer reports/audits.
• Independent Contractor (IC) Activities.
• Meet with potential IC to verify capabilities of candidate.
• Meet with ICs to discuss route, stops, issues, client concerns, and scanning.
• Orient ICs to Client Standards and SOP, and enter into system.
• Monitor services to ensure ICs meet contractual requirements (apparel, paperwork).
• Assist in troubleshooting eCMobile issues.
• Plan route coverage and communicate with IC.
• Ensure all services are performed in a timely manner.
• Gross Margin Management.
• Negotiate with ICs regarding contracted services and settlement.
• Monitor Gross Margin by Account to ensure it exceeds budgeted targets.
• Complete driver pays activities (SORs, service type adjustments, manual adjustments).
• Perform other duties as assigned.
