Job summary

Maersk Logistics & Services USA, Inc. seeks an Operations Agent 1 to manage freight forwarding shipments across modes. You will focus on operations excellence and delivering quality customer service while maintaining station KPIs.

Responsibilities include tracking outbound shipments, coordinating carriers, pricing and invoicing, and providing load tenders. Requires independent work ethic and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Must type 35+ words per minute.
• Able to work overtime and weekend on call rotations.
• Proficient in Microsoft products.

Responsibilities

• Tracking and tracing outbound shipments.
• Inspecting outbound freight.
• Contracting new carriers and assigning load tenders.
• Communicating freight status to stations and customers.
• Provide customer service.
• Data entry of shipments into the transportation management system.
• Quoting, costing and invoicing of international shipments.
• Domestic air and ground routing (including Canada).
• Negotiate freight rates and develop carrier relationships.
• Find and develop new logistics opportunities.
