Job summary

Maersk USA, Tukwila, WA, is seeking an Operations Associate to oversee freight forwarding shipments across multiple modes. You will drive operations excellence and deliver a quality customer experience while maintaining station KPI targets.

Responsibilities include tracking outbound shipments, inspecting freight, contracting carriers, load tendering, quoting and invoicing for international shipments, and data entry in the Transportation Management System.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Typing speed of 35+ words per minute or more.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Track and trace outbound shipments
• Inspect outbound freight
• Coordinate carriers and load tenders
• Communicate freight status and address issues
• Provide excellent customer service
• Data entry into transportation management system
• Quoting, costing and invoicing for international shipments
