Job summary

Maersk Logistics & Services USA, Inc. is seeking an Operations Agent 1 to manage freight forwarding shipments into and out of the station across multiple transportation modes.

The role focuses on operational excellence and delivering a high-quality customer experience while maintaining station KPIs. The position involves coordinating with carriers, tracking shipments, data entry in the TM system, and handling quotes, costs, and invoicing for international shipments.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.

Responsibilities

• Track and trace outbound shipments
• Inspect outbound freight
• Contract carriers and issue load tenders
• Communicate freight status to stations and customers
• Provide excellent customer service
• Data entry in transportation management system
• Quote, cost, and invoice international shipments (air, ocean, ground)
• Route domestic air and ground including Canada
• Negotiate freight rates
• Develop carrier relationships
• Identify new logistics opportunities
