Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft products; typing speed 35+ wpm.
• Ability to work in demanding, high-volume environment; including email and calls.
• Precise attention to detail and tech-savviness.

Responsibilities

• Tracking and tracing outbound shipments.
• Inspecting outbound freight.
• Contracting new carriers and providing load tenders.
• Communicating freight status to stations and customers; updating the system.
• Data entry into transportation management system.
• Quoting, costing and invoicing of international shipments, air, ocean and ground.
• Domestic air and ground routing (including Canada).
• Negotiate freight rates and develop carrier relationships.
