Job summary

Syfan Logistics in Gainesville, FL is seeking a Logistics Coordinator to join our operations team. You will communicate with carriers and customers to ensure on-time service for all shipments and maintain strong relationships with our partners.

You will use our transportation management system and standard procedures to dispatch loads, track shipments, and resolve issues quickly in a fast-paced environment. Strong customer service and organizational skills are required.

Qualifications

• Strong customer service and interpersonal skills for handling carrier/customer situations professionally.
• Basic computer proficiency for Microsoft Office and TMS usage.
• Excellent organizational, time management, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and adapt quickly to changing situations.
• Willingness to receive coaching and follow procedures and management directions.
• Ability to work cooperatively in a dynamic team with high call volumes.

Responsibilities

• Dispatches carriers by phone and computer in an efficient, professional manner.
• Manages load information including pick‑up and delivery times using logistics software.
• Tracks and communicates driver movements to shippers and receivers per procedures.
• Directs and resolves inbound driver/carrier calls for status updates to ensure on-time delivery.
• Updates Carrier Sales and Customer Sales Reps of delays or issues when required.
• Validates load data prior to delivery and handles discrepancies with documentation as needed.
• Documents communications with carriers and customers in TMS logs.
• Proactively identifies load issues and works with the team to implement solutions.
• Performs other duties to support optimal operations.
