Job summary

Estes Express Lines in Las Vegas seeks a detail-oriented dispatcher assistant to support freight operations. You will create manifests, assist with assigning drivers, maintain dispatch sheets, and help resolve issues impacting pickup and delivery within service standards.

Responsibilities include scheduling, tracking, tracing and billing, coordinating line haul activities, and maintaining accurate records. The role requires strong MS Word/Excel skills, AS400 experience preferred, and reliability

Qualifications

• Knowledgeable in customer care, OS&D, billing, pricing, tracing, dispatching and inspection.
• Proficient in MS Word and Excel.
• AS400 experience strongly preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication and listening skills.

Responsibilities

• Create freight manifests using applicable coding.
• Assist dispatcher with assigning drivers for local and road deliveries.
• Maintain city dispatch sheets and advise drivers on issues.
• Schedule, track, and bill freight and related activities.
• Coordinate Line Haul with Service Centers to move freight on time.
• Provide guidance to junior staff and support training as needed.
