Job summary

Estes Express Lines seeks an on-site billing/OS&D clerk to support freight billing, tracing, and claims processing. You will handle high-volume calls, coordinate deliveries, and maintain accurate paperwork and records for daily reporting.

The role requires strong clerical and MS Excel skills, dispatcher-like coordination, and the ability to lift ~20 lbs. Prior OS&D or transportation experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED (or equivalent).
• Experience in billing, collections, tracing & OS&D preferred.
• Computer skills; proficient in MS Word and Excel required.
• AS400 experience strongly preferred.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Good clerical skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication and listening skills.
• Ability to work regular tasks with occasional guidance; refer complex issues to supervision.
• Experience in transportation is a plus but not required.
• Must be able to lift ~20 lbs. and comply with policies.

Responsibilities

• Answer telephones with a high call volume and direct calls accurately.
• Maintain records and reconcile bills of lading; report discrepancies.
• Prepare paperwork and repack OS&D freight.
• Maintain OS&D area and report freight issues daily/weekly.
• Coordinate delivery times and contact customers for appointments.
• Respond to inquiries and provide proof of delivery.
