Job summary

Saia is seeking a results‑driven Account Executive to grow the client base within a defined territory. You will prospect new customers, tailor logistics solutions, and partner with operations to deliver reliable results.

The role requires a proven outside sales track record, strong communication skills, and the ability to close contracts. Travel to client sites and industry events is expected; a car or car allowance is available.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2+ years outside sales experience with a proven B2B track record.
• Familiarity with freight or LTL logistics is preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in business, sales, or related field is required.

Responsibilities

• Prospects and secures new clients within an assigned territory to drive revenue growth.
• Understands client objectives and proposes tailored logistics solutions.
• Collaborates across operations and internal partners to deliver quality service.
• Develops client growth and retention plans for a long-term book of business.
• Leads contract negotiations and closes sales to exceed targets.
• Prepares and presents compelling proposals to key stakeholders.
• Maintains CRM records and documents client interactions.
• Monitors market trends and competitor activity to identify growth opportunities.
