Job summary

Saia is seeking a results-driven Account Executive to develop and manage client relationships within a defined territory, driving revenue growth through tailored logistics and transportation solutions.

You will collaborate across operations and internal partners, conduct proposals, negotiate contracts, and maintain CRM records. Travel to client sites and events is expected; a car or car allowance is provided.

Qualifications

• Minimum: High school diploma or GED. Authorized to work in the United States.
• Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in business, sales, or related field.
• 2+ years outside sales experience.
• Experience in freight or LTL logistics; CRM tools knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Prospects and secures new clients within an assigned territory to drive revenue growth.
• Understands client objectives and proposes tailored logistics and transportation solutions.
• Collaborates across operations, service center, and internal partners to deliver quality service and ensure customer satisfaction.
• Develops client growth and retention plans to build a profitable, long-term book of business.
• Leads contract negotiations and closes sales to exceed performance targets.
• Prepares and presents compelling proposals and presentations to key stakeholders.
• Maintains accurate CRM records and documents client interactions.
• Monitors market trends and competitor activity to identify growth opportunities.
