Job summary

NANA Management Services seeks a Security Officer for Maniilaq Village Health Clinics and surrounding areas in Alaska. You will work a 1 week on/1 week off rotation and may be required for on-call work outside normal hours.

A ten-day training in Kotzebue, AK is required with lodging and transportation provided. The role involves securing premises, de-escalation, incident reporting, event support, and emergency response to safeguard people and property.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Must be able to pass Alaska background check and obtain Guard License.
• Team coordination with coworkers, customers, and clients.
• Decision making with minimal supervision.
• Stand for 8–12 hours per shift.
• English language proficiency required.

Responsibilities

• Personally monitor assigned areas by roving or patrolling inside facilities or in vehicles.
• Ensure safety and compliance by all actions.
• De-escalate situations to protect employees, customers, and clients.
• Inspect doors, windows and access points for security.
• Document incidents and report per policies.
• Assist in event setup and clinic readiness.
• Detain or warn violators as needed.
• Notify on-site personnel of visitors.
• Respond to emergencies to protect life and property.
• May issue and record ID badges.
