Job summary

NANA Management Services is seeking a Security Officer for Maniilaq Village Health Clinics and surrounding areas in Kotzebue, AK. This is a 1 week on, 1 week off rotation, with possible on-call hours outside normal business times.

Responsibilities include patrolling, de-escalation, securing premises, reporting incidents, assisting events, and emergency response to protect staff and visitors. Must pass Alaska background check and obtain guard license.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or GED.
• Must pass State of Alaska background check and obtain Alaska Guard License prior to starting.
• Team player with ability to work across shifts and locations.
• Must be safety oriented and able to follow safety guidelines.
• Ability to stand for 8–12 hours per shift and work on-call outside normal hours.

Responsibilities

• Monitor assigned areas visually, electronically, or audibly.
• De-escalate situations to protect staff, customers, and clients.
• Inspect doors, windows, and store areas for security.
• Document property damage and incidents per policy.
• Assist with events, logistics, and clinic preparations.
• Notify on-site personnel of visitors and coordinate access.
• Respond to emergencies and disasters to preserve life and property.
• May issue and log ID badges and monitor life-safety systems.
