Job summary

BlueLinx Holdings Inc. in Des Moines, IA is seeking professional truck drivers to deliver freight with a Class A CDL. This role offers home daily schedules, first shift hours, and modern equipment.

You will secure loads, manage deliveries, and communicate with customers while maintaining DOT compliance. Starting pay is $34.42 per hour with benefits including medical, dental, vision, and 401K. Tuition reimbursement and paid time off enhance the compensation package.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL required.
• Minimum 21 years of age.
• 12 months of recent verifiable tractor trailer experience in the past 3 years.
• Safe Driving Record required.
• Ability to secure loads.
• Ability to work in all weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Properly secure loads. NO tarping - ONLY strapping.
• Accurate and timely delivery of freight and handling of customer product returns when required.
• Manage Proof of Delivery paperwork from customers.
• Interact professionally with customers and communicate customer issues.
• Maintain daily safety checklist and perform all required DOT inspections.
• Maintain electronic logbook and complete trip reports.
• Direct the unloading by customers, when required.
