Job summary

BlueLinx Holdings Inc. in New Jersey is seeking professional truck drivers to join our team. You will securely load and transport freight with a Class A CDL, deliver on schedule, and communicate with customers while maintaining DOT logs and safety checks.

This first-shift role features home every night and weekend, modern equipment, and a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, 401(k) and PTO.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL required.
• Minimum age 21 years.
• 12 months verifiable tractor trailer experience in past 3 years.
• Safe driving record required.
• Ability to secure loads.
• Ability to work in all weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Secure loads properly. No tarping - use straps.
• Deliver freight accurately and promptly; handle product returns.
• Manage Proof of Delivery paperwork from customers.
• Interact professionally with customers; communicate issues.
• Maintain daily safety checklist and complete DOT inspections.
• Maintain electronic logs and complete trip reports.

What You’ll Deliver:

• Properly secure loads. NO tarping - ONLY strapping
• Accurate and timely delivery of freight and handling of customer product returns when required
• Manage Proof of Delivery paperwork from customers
• Interact professionally with customers and communicate customer issues
• Maintain daily safety checklist and perform all required DOT inspections
• Maintain electronic logbook and complete trip reports
• Direct the unloading by customers, when required

How You’ll Deliver:

• Valid Class A CDL
• Minimum 21 years of age
• 12 months of recent verifiable tractor trailer experience in the past 3 years
• Safe Driving Record
• Ability to secure loads
• Ability to work in all weather conditions
