Job summary

BlueLinx Corporation seeks professional CDL drivers to join our team. You will be home every night and weekend, enjoy competitive pay of $35 per hour starting, and work with modern equipment across our trusted network.

Role requirements include a valid Class A CDL, 21+ years of age, 12 months of verifiable tractor trailer experience, and a clean driving record. You will secure loads, process returns, complete DOT inspections, and maintain logs with accuracy.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL and clean driving record.
• Minimum 21 years of age.
• 12 months of verifiable tractor trailer experience in the past 3 years.
• Ability to secure loads and perform DOT inspections when required.

Responsibilities

• Secure loads using appropriate methods; no tarping.
• Deliver freight accurately and on time; handle returns when needed.
• Manage Proof of Delivery paperwork from customers.
• Interact professionally with customers and resolve issues.
• Maintain daily safety checks and complete required DOT inspections.
• Keep electronic logs and complete trip reports.
• Direct unloading by customers when required.

What You’ll Deliver

• Properly secure loads. NO tarping – ONLY strapping
• Accurate and timely delivery of freight and handling of customer product returns when required
• Manage Proof of Delivery paperwork from customers
• Interact professionally with customers and communicate customer issues
• Maintain daily safety checklist and perform all required DOT inspections
• Maintain electronic logbook and complete trip reports
• Direct the unloading by customers, when required

How You’ll Deliver

• Valid Class A CDL
• Minimum 21 years of age
• 12 months of recent verifiable tractor trailer experience in the past 3 years
• Safe Driving Record
• Ability to secure loads
• Ability to work in all weather conditions
