Job summary

BlueLinx Corporation in Des Moines, IA is seeking an experienced truck driver to join our flatbed team. You will deliver freight regionally, secure loads, and maintain DOT compliance while enjoying a predictable first-shift schedule and home every night and weekend.

Qualified candidates hold a valid Class A CDL, are at least 21, with 12 months of verifiable tractor trailer experience and a clean driving record, plus the ability to secure loads in all weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Properly secure loads. NO tarping - ONLY strapping.
• Accurate and timely delivery of freight and handling of customer product returns when required.
• Manage Proof of Delivery paperwork from customers.
• Interact professionally with customers and communicate customer issues.
• Maintain daily safety checklist and perform all required DOT inspections.
• Maintain electronic logbook and complete trip reports.
• Direct the unloading by customers, when required.

What You'll Deliver
