Job summary

BlueLinx is seeking drivers to join our team. You’ll drive flatbed and curtain-side trailers, with no tarping, and be home every night and weekend to spend time with family. We offer competitive pay and a strong benefits package.

Qualified applicants have a Valid Class A CDL, at least 12 months of tractor-trailer experience, and a safe driving record. A $2,000 sign-on bonus is paid quarterly in the first year, with starting pay at $27.86 per hour and comprehensive benefits.

Responsibilities

• Secure loads properly with straps, no tarping.
• Deliver freight accurately and handle returns when required.
• Manage Proof of Delivery paperwork from customers.
• Interact professionally with customers and address issues.

What You’ll Deliver

• Properly secure loads. NO tarping – ONLY strapping
• Accurate and timely delivery of freight and handling of customer product returns when required
• Manage Proof of Delivery paperwork from customers
• Interact professionally with customers and communicate customer issues
• Maintain daily safety checklist and perform all required DOT inspections
• Maintain electronic logbook and complete trip reports
• Direct the unloading by customers, when required

How You’ll Deliver

• Valid Class A CDL
• Minimum 21 years of age
• 12 months of recent verifiable tractor trailer experience in the past 3 years
• Safe Driving Record
• Ability to secure loads
• Ability to work in all weather conditions
