Job summary

BlueLinx Corporation in Charleston, SC is seeking qualified truck drivers to deliver freight nationwide with home time each night and weekend. You will be responsible for securing loads, timely deliveries, handling customer returns, and maintaining DOT compliance.

The role requires a valid Class A CDL, at least 12 months of verifiable tractor-trailer experience, a safe driving record, and the ability to work in all weather conditions.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL required.
• Minimum 12 months of verifiable tractor trailer experience in the past 3 years.
• Safe driving record and ability to secure loads.

Responsibilities

• Properly secure loads. NO tarping - ONLY strapping.
• Accurate and timely delivery of freight and handling of customer product returns when required.
• Manage Proof of Delivery paperwork from customers.
• Interact professionally with customers and communicate customer issues.
• Maintain daily safety checklist and perform all required DOT inspections.
• Maintain electronic logbook and complete trip reports.
• Direct the unloading by customers when required.
