Job summary

Wolfoods is seeking an experienced Assistant Kitchen Manager for a hands-on leadership role at our rustic summer camp sites. This on-site, live-in position oversees prep and production for designated day parts, manages staff, and ensures allergen safety across menus.

The role requires 2+ years in a kitchen leadership role, ServSafe Allergens certification, and willingness to live on-site while working a demanding 6-day/70-hour week.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in a commercial kitchen leadership role with scratch and institutional/batch cooking experience.
• ServSafe Allergens certification required before start date; company-sponsored.

Responsibilities

• Operations & Leadership: Lead and train kitchen staff; foster a high-energy, positive environment.
• Culinary & Quality Excellence: Manage flow, portions, specs, scratch cooking, and timely service.
• Allergen & Safety Compliance: Manage allergy protocols (Kosher, Nut-Free, Gluten-Free, Vegan) and sanitation standards.
• Administration & Budget: Manage inventory and assist with daily reporting.
• Client Relations: Liaise between kitchen operations, campers, and camp leadership.
