Job summary

Wolfoods seeks an experienced Assistant Kitchen Manager for a hands-on leadership role at our on-site, rustic summer camp locations across the US. You will oversee all prep and production for designated day parts, manage staff, and ensure allergen safety in a fast-paced, high-volume setting.

This on-site, live-in position requires readiness to work a demanding minimum 6-day/70-hour week and thrive under pressure while delivering quality camp dining experiences.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in a commercial kitchen leadership role with scratch and institutional/batch cooking experience.
• ServSafe Allergens certification required before start date; company-sponsored.

Responsibilities

• Lead and train kitchen staff; foster a high-energy, positive environment.
• Operational flow, portion control, menu specs, scratch cooking execution, and timely meal service.
• Strictly manage food allergy protocols and maintain top Health Department sanitation standards.
• Manage inventory and assist with daily reporting.
• Serve as a liaison between kitchen operations, campers, and camp leadership.
