Job summary

Wolfoods is seeking an experienced Assistant Kitchen Manager for a hands-on leadership role at a rural summer camp. You will oversee all prep and production for a day part, manage staff, and enforce allergen safety in a fast-paced, high-volume kitchen.

This on-site, live-in position requires a readiness to work a demanding 6-day/70-hour week and to contribute to a vibrant camp community.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of leadership in a commercial kitchen with scratch and institutional/batch cooking.

Responsibilities

• Lead and train kitchen staff; foster a high-energy, positive environment.
• Oversee culinary quality: production flow, portion control, menu specs, scratch cooking, timely service.
• Strict allergen safety compliance and sanitation aligned with Health Department standards.
• Manage inventory and assist with daily reporting.
• Serve as liaison between kitchen, campers, and camp leadership.
